TO: Prospective ICE Testing Center Administrator The Public Libraries, Schools, and other institutions listed above are all performing a valuable service in their communities: they are proctoring examinations for Real Estate licensees who need to take Continuing Education Tests. Our testing procedure is simple: Real Estate licensees select a Testing Center from the above listing and inform ICE of their selection ICE mails the licensee's test to the contact person at the Testing Center. Each envelope identifies the licensee by name. The Testing Center holds the test envelopes until contacted by each licensee. Licensees telephone the selected Testing Center to make sure their tests have arrived, and to arrange a mutually convenient testing appointment The Testing Center provides a quiet place, such as a table in the library's Reference Department, where licensees will take tests. When the licensee arrives, the Testing Center proctor records the start-time on the test's envelope, and hands the test to the licensee. The Testing Center is not responsible for answering questions about the subjects being tested. They are responsible for knowing that the tests are closed-book, and the licensee is not to receive any help completing the test. In the unlikely event that a licensee's behavior is obviously not proper, Testing Centers informally make a note of the problem, and mail their note back to ICE with the test. When the licensee is finished with each test, it is returned to the Testing Center proctor who returns the test to ICE in the original envelope by 1st class mail. ICE then grades the test and issues Completion Certificates to the licensees Some Testing Centers charge a fee as noted in the above list. They also stipulate business hours when they will test, and restrictions, such as "only one test will be given at a time."
