TREC Ethics MCE
Texas real estate licensees face a changing marketplace in which quick decisions can make the difference in closing a transaction. Maintaining competence in this increasingly competitive profession demands that licensees receive up-to-date information on ethics and legal issues. The goal of the fourth edition of Ethics MCE is to continue challenging licensees to maintain high ethical standards. In creating this new edition, we have continued to use the chapter divisions that were used in the previous editions. While information has been updated throughout the book, instructors should take special note of the advertising chapter and its expanded discussion
of Internet advertising and social networking. The final chapter contains TREC disciplinary cases that are new to this edition. Although Ethics MCE is intended primarily to full Texas Real Estate Commission’s ethics requirement, references to NAR, CCIM and NAREB ethics requirements could allow the text to be used in ethics instruction for those groups, as well.
