About Real Estate and Water
Water is one of the most basic needs of man, and yet we tend to take it for granted. We all use it, and most of us waste it. This course will review our everyday water usage and offer useful tips for water conservation. This course will teach you about the water in our land, in terms of shared real estate and the agencies that help regulate the public trust. It will walk you through our involvement with water and the land we populate here in the United States. You will also learn the basics on flood plain development and wetland conservation. You'll find how these two critical ecological issues relate to both one another and the property value. The second section of this course relates to the water in your land and how it pertains to you. After completing this course, you should be able to better understand building regulation in terms of water on property, as well as pumping water in and out of your home. Water can impact your home from the rooftop to the basement. It is our hope that this course will serve as a guide to not only help you choose wisely in making decisions about the water in and around your property, but also raise your awareness for future property development.
