Understanding Sexual Harassment
Most people think they have never been victimized by sexual harassment. Also, most people do not consider their behavior sexually harassing to others. But from this crowd of sexual beings comes the next target (victim) and the next sexual harasser (offender).
Sexual harassment normally involves people who have no history of illegal behavior as either the harasser or the harassed. This social problem is overpopulated with first time targets and offenders.
This course is NOT about relationships. This course is about consumer protection. An understanding of human relationships, however, is needed to be able to differentiate between situations requiring consumer protection and private, totally legal situations.
As a professional, you have an obligation to consumers, your clients, your organization (company, school, office, etc.) your family, and yourself. Knowledge avoids trouble. Your understanding of sexual harassment issues will benefit all of your associates.
